One thing that I learned from watching the movie Elizabethtown is that I need an iPod. Seriously. Well, at least that is the practical outcome of the thoughts I had after watching that movie. You see, I think one of the strengths of the movie is it's very effective use of music to create a certain mood. Now, music does that in a lot of movies, but Elizabethtown did a good job of using "pop" (for lack of a better all encompassing word) songs better than some. So, in turn, it got me really excited about music again and made me think that I need a soundtrack to my life. Thus, why I need an iPod. Now, I'm listening to as much new music as possible so I can figure out what songs I need to buy on iTunes to add to my soundtrack. And I now really love the library, because it's such an awesome way to listen to whole cds and find new music!

I feel like that was a pretty terrible paragraph.

I've been in a hip-hop mood the past couple days. I'm currently rockin' some Kanye West (I ain't sayin' she's a gold digger, ha), courtesy of, you guessed it...the library!

So, if you have some music that you think is worth of my iPod let me know and I'll check it out!

I'm in a bit of a reflective mood right now.

I really like the movie Elizabethtown.

We had a really awesome service at First Church this morning that centered around worshiping using our various senses. It's things like that that make me glad to be going there.

I think I'm going to keep working next fall instead of starting seminary. That way I'll be able to save more money and then start in the spring.

I think Copeland's In Motion is the first CD that has ever become attached to a certain time and to certain circumstances in my life.

I'm listening to it right now because, as I said before, I feeling reflective right now.

I think I'm going to be going to Mexico again in May. I'm really excited and have resolved to brush up on my Spanish a lot more so I can communicate with the people more.

Bethany is not going to be leaving CAPE.

I have tomorrow off in honor of our dead presidents.

On that note, does anyone want to go on a ridiculous road-trip-to-nowhere-in-particular with me tomorrow/today?

Seriously, it's about 2:00am now and all I want to do is get in my car and drive somewhere.

So Bethany, one the kids I work with and one of my favorites (as you know if you read my blog) might be switching schools. I think I will probably cry if I find out I'm not going to see her again.

I got a new CD today, MuteMath's first full-length album. It's very good. Some of the coolest production I've heard in a long time.
